Ms. Gerrard attended law school at New York Law School while working full time for the New York City Corporation Counsel’s office, Special Litigation and Medical Malpractice Unit for three years. She received her Juris Doctor degree in 1994.
She received her B.A. in the Classics from Vassar College in 1987, and studied at the Stanford University Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome, Italy in 1986 & 1987.
Her main practice area is medical and dental malpractice defense litigation, with experience in general negligence and lead poisoning cases as well. She is a member of the New York Medical Malpractice Defense Bar Association, and the Association for Healthcare Risk Management.
Ms. Gerrard enjoys defending doctors and hospitals, and has twenty years experience in the medical-legal field. She has a wide network of contacts in both the plaintiff and defense bar, and in the New York Judiciary. Ms. Gerrard has tried cases in almost every county in the greater New York area.
