Anina H. Monte is one of the firm’s founding partners. She devotes her practice to the defense of hospitals, professionals, and facilities, in all aspects of liability, involving their medical and corporate practice. During the course of her career, she has engaged in corporate litigation, civil litigation, defense of Civil Rights Actions under §1983 and §1981, fraud and recoupment actions, as well as appellate practice. Anina has represented clients before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct and has conducted mediations and arbitrations in multiple forums of dispute resolution. She has practiced extensively throughout the New York metropolitan area, having secured defense verdicts in medical malpractice actions, and successes on behalf of her clients before the courts in the Greater Metropolitan area, Federal Court and New Jersey.
Prior to joining Bower Law, P.C. Anina was a member of Rosenbaum Monte, P.C. a private firm acting as primary counsel to a conglomerate of real estate and operating companies, including long-term nursing home and rehabilitation facilities. She started her career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she tried over a dozen felony cases to verdict. While in law school she had the honor of serving as the State’s first legal aid to the newly formed Attorney General’s Health Care Investigations Bureau. She was recognized and inducted into the Order of the Barristers and served on the Moot Court Board. Anina graduated Albany Law School in 1999 and is admitted to practice before the Courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as the Eastern District of New York. Anina is a New York City native.
