Robert J. McHenry has been a highly successful and well-respected trial and appellate attorney concentrating in the defense of medical malpractice, products liability and general liability claims for the entirety of his professional career. He has successfully represented physicians before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct of New York State Department of Health. He has lectured to physician and hospital groups on topics related to the avoidance of and response to professional negligence claims. He has also advised physicians regarding compliance with legal requirements covering their practice of medicine.
Bob received his B.A. degree from Catholic University in 1969 and his J.D. degree from Fordham University in 1974. His first legal position after completing his studies was law clerk to the then New York State Supreme Court Justice Mario Pittoni. Since the completion of his clerkship, he has been engaged in private practice as a partner at Furey, Furey, Gerver & McHenry and a founding member of McHenry & Horan, P.C. in 1983. He is a member of the New York State Bar as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
